A Bird's-Eye View is written expressly for teenagers and children with attention deficit disorders by twelve teens and a young adult who are living with this challenging condition. These young people offer the best kind of advice--advice based upon first-hand experience. This book offers factual information and practical strategies in words and examples that young people can easily understand and put into practice. It also leaves teens and their families with a sense of hope that they too will survive this sometimes overwhelming disorder.

With its easy-to-follow format, A Bird's-Eye View can be read in one sitting or referred to repeatedly to help teens understand the symptoms of ADHD. In this book, teens will discover why they experience disorganization, inattention, forgetfulness, impulsivity, hyperactivity, sleep problems, messy handwriting, difficulty with schoolwork, problems tracking the passage of time, or trouble controlling emotions plus advice on how to address these issues. Additionally, teen contributors cover how to cope with ADD and ADHD from learning to accept the disorder to getting treatment and managing meds, and from accommodations at school to keeping friends and making good choices. Parents can also benefit from reading A Bird's-Eye View and the unique perspective it offers to gain important insight about their own teen.
